Finding Aids for Goucher College Library Special Collections & Archives contains the finding aids and collection guides for material held within the college.
A finding aid is a scholarly document prepared under the supervision of the Curator of Special Collections & Archives and contains specific information about a collection including its papers and records. Finding aids describe the scope of a collection but not the exact content. A finding aid generally includes a brief biography of the subject along with a detailed inventory of the collection.
A collection guide is a brochure that touches on the highlights of a particular collection for promotional or outreach purposes.
To schedule an appointment or request information about the archives, please contact the Curator of Special Collections and Archives via archives@goucher.edu or (410-337-6347).
